On July 1, Wang Pengcheng, the former Managing Partner of Ernst & Young's Audit Service in Greater China, officially joined the Finance and Accounting Department of Business School of Beijing Technology and Business University (BTBU).
Currently, Wang Pengcheng is the Vice Chairman of the Accounting Standards Professional Committee of China Accounting Association, a member of Disciplinary Committee of China Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a researcher of Haier Win-Win Value-Added Table Research Institute, a member of the Strategic Advisory Committee of Xiamen National Accounting Institute, and a member of the MPAcc Advisory Committee of Renmin University of China Business School. He has served as an associate professor at the Central University of Finance and Economics, a partner of Pan-China Certified Public Accountants LLP, and the Principal Partner in the Greater China Financial Industry at Deloitte LLP. In 2014, he became the Chief Operating Officer of Ernst & Young Greater China Audit Services. And in 2018, he was the Managing Partner of Ernst & Young Greater China Audit Services. He is the first mainland professional to hold this position among the four most famous international accounting firms in China.
Wang Pengcheng has been responsible for auditing and consulting services for many financial institutions and large central enterprises. He has rich experience in accounting and auditing practices. Also, he once served as a member of the Accounting Standards Committee of the Ministry of Finance, a member of the Audit Standards Group of the Ministry of Finance, and a consultant of the Internal Control Committee of the Ministry of Finance. He has extensive influence in the fields of accounting, auditing, capital market and industrial supervision, banking and finance. At the same time, he has achieved fruitful results in accounting theoretical research, published over 50 papers in journals such as “Accounting Research” and presided and participated in more than 10 major scientific research projects, including World Bank, Asian Development Bank assistance projects and National Social Science Fund projects. The joining of Professor Wang Pengcheng will greatly enhance the influence of our school's accounting and finance subject in China.
