International MBA Students Participated in the Silk Road Lecture on “Empowering Tomorrow - Youth Innovation and Youth Dreams”

  On 11th November, 12 International MBA students of BTBU Business School attended the Silk Road Lecture Hall under the theme of “Empowering Tomorrow - Youth Innovation and Youth Dreams” at the invitation of the Silk Road International Think Tank Exchange Center. Nudging 300 youth representatives from over 70 countries, including the University of International Business and Economics, Beijing Foreign Studies University, China Petroleum University (Beijing) and Beijing University of Technology and other universities attended the event.



During the conference, a number of participants made speeches. Director of the UNESCO China Office, Dr.Shahbaz Khan had stated that in world history, there has never been any initiative like the "Belt and Road" that could bring together the vast majority of countries in the world to cooperate for a common goal. This is sufficient to illustrate that the construction of the "Belt and Road" is on the correct side of history, in line with the logic of progress in the era, and capable of creating a peaceful, developed, cooperative, and mutually beneficial future for generations to come. Deputy Director of the Research Department and Professor at the Central Party School of the CPC Central Committee (Chinese Academy of Governance), Hong Xianghua elaborated on the great significance of the "Belt and Road" construction of youth power and international economic cooperation. Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Silk Road International Think Tank Exchange Center and Executive President of Silk Road Encyclopedia Magazine, Yang Dongping indicated that in the past 10 years, international cooperation under the "Belt and Road" initiative has flourished, extending from Asia and Europe to Africa and Latin America. President Xi Jinping's eight actions not only provide direction for the higher quality and level of "Belt and Road" development but also open up a broad space for the youth of our generation to contribute to history consciously and actively.









Dwi Darmawan, an Indonesian International MBA student of Business School 2023, was interviewed as representative of international student community by media and said, “Thanks to the Eight Actions of the Belt and Road which brought valuable opportunities for international students to come to China for further studies and cultural exchanges. The BTBU Business School is actively implementing the 'Belt and Road' initiative by building more international exchange platforms for students. I will study hard and contribute to the co-operation and development between China and Indonesia as well as the Belt and Road Initiative.





At the end, Ms. Dahlia A. Ducreay, alumni of BTBU (MPAcc student of BTBU Business School) who is head of the International Department of the Silk Road Youth Forum made conclusion. She stated that there was a list of hundreds of multilateral cooperation outcomes signed during the Third “Belt and Road” International Cooperation Summit, which demonstrated the abundant development opportunities and extensive space for endeavors available to young people from various countries. She called everyone to run into the next golden decade of "Belt and Road" with youthful passion.



Xu Jin, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), director of the Ideology Construction Research Centre of the Central Committee of the Jiu San Society, and senior researcher of the Silk Road International Think Tank Exchange Centre, attended and presented the award. The Executive Deputy Director of International Office of the Business School Dr. Tian, Xiaoran and Project supervisor Mr. Chen, Xingyi led the team to attend the event.


Approved by the leadership of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the Silk Road International Think Tank Exchange Centre, together with the Centre for International Cooperation of the National Development and Reform Commission and other units, has been holding the Silk Road Youth Forum annually since 2017, which is an international exchange platform for young people focusing on the construction of "Belt and Road".
